I spent most of my life in Kansas City but have been in Edmonton Alberta due to work for the last 3 years. I registered for the forum a few years ago but since I had sold my 77 FXE several years before then I just didn't visit. I recently bought a 94 FLSTF and the bug is back!
I purchased the new girl on E-Bay from Pennsylvania, shipped it to KC, visited KC, loaded her in the pickup and brought her up North about three weeks ago. I swear it was like a mail order bride and I was nervous as a prostitute in church till we met. I was not disappointed.. She was built like a brick sh&%house (pun intended) with a 111CI Touring engine, BDL Top Fuel primary (both installed less than 5k miles ago), Thunderheader, Mikuni carb and some cosmetics (fairing-bags-stretched rear fender, 21" front wheel etc.) Putting her on the Dynometer Mon or Tue to see where we stand but I'm positive its double the ponies and a lot smoother then the old Shovel!
I look forward to meeting some new peeps, talkin' bikes since the riding season here is soon to be a winter wasteland.
