This is my first Harley motorcycle. I have owned many bikes on the past 40 years of riding. I'm not stupid when it comes to engine tuning. I raced motorcross and draged raced jap bikes in my younger years but listening to the service department at my Harley dealership I feel like I just started riding. I want to install a set of Vance and Hines big shot pipes on my 07 fatboy. The dealer wants 1400.00 dollars for the pipes, race tuner and air cleaner. He tells me the bike will run cooler if I use the race tuner fron HD. The fuel pack from VH only controls the air/ fuel mixture and will not help with the heating problems. Another shop tells me I need to use a O2 elimator to help control the heat. I'm not looking for performance just a good sound and less heat between my legs. If I want to go fast I will get on my R6. What is the truth about fuel contoler and the possible loss of waranty?
