I am a (very happy) Street Bob owner as of this week. It is the first HD that I have ever ridden let alone owned. It is absolutely amazing to ride that bike. I put down a deposit and waited a grueling 5 weeks (I know that this is nothing compared to what some of you have waited) for a previously scheduled shipment in back denim.
I promise to post images soon. I am having trouble getting off of the bike when I have free time and subsequently have not taken any photos yet. The motorcycle is still completely stock and looks exactly like the pictures on h-d.com. Perhaps I can shave a bar and shield emblem into the dog and pose her next to the dyna for a few shots... My wife might not like that. Perhaps I can photograph myself on the bike with both a blackened eye and a custom shaved dog in my lap.
Do all Harleys handle as smoothly and have such a solid feel to their controls? It just feels right. Very natural. I am glad that I have the full-faced helmet to hide my permanent grin while riding. Folks might not understand. I hope I never get used to it.
welcome from from so fla...and welcome back springer...enjoy the new scoot, and just so ya know i still have perma smile...dont hid it behind the helmet, we will know why its there.
Sounds like a great bike. It's nice to hear someone talk positive about their hareley for a change. Hope your great experience continues to be a positive one.
hi mark,
welcome here and hope you enjoy the place. sounds like you are having a large time on your new bobber, and when you do get off of it long enough send us some pics. have fun doing the mods on it, i really like that new bike too that HD put out. stay safe
I hear you about the solid feeling controls. I have rode a couple metrics this summer and the clutch and brake levers are thin and dinky compared to a Harley. I had my levers changed to the chrome ones and they seem to be wider and even more solid feeling. The upgrade to braided lines improved the feel as well.
