After 32 bikes - not including a couple dozen dirt/enduro/motocross during my younger years - I finally got me a RIDE.
Just took delivery of a 2017 Road King, and dang what a sa-weet ride she is.
Thought I wanted the new RK Special, but checked them out carefully at Daytona and stayed with the Classic.
After decades of riding most everything out there, I retire early and decided I need a Touring bike, but something that's also a blast around town.
I wanted something powerful yet smooth; good for a 1-mile run to a Redbox, or a weeks-long run to Sturgis; configurable but with a soul.
For me, the new Road King with Milwaukee 8 is the nuts. I can toss it around like it weighs 400 lbs less, but it's rock steady and s-m-o-o-t-h cruisin at 80.
She's Black & Gold. Classic. Will post pics tomorrow.
Ride well,
-von
