My Introduction
Hey Harley Brothers and Sisters, I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm retired U.S. Air Force. I've browsed the forums for years regarding different opinions on bikes and mechanical issues. I've had 3 Harley's...a 2008 Rocker in blue, then a 2013 Deluxe in Lucky Green and now I have a 2017 Harley Street Glide Special in Laguna Orange.
Now that I finally got a Bagger, I'm excited to hit the open road and log some serious miles. I want to start hitting rallies like Daytona and Sturgis and my dream trip is to ride to San Diego to see my U.S. Marine son and then ride up the coast back by way of Route 66.
I need to find some riding trip friends in the local area to hit the road with. Before now I was just an avid around town rider but kinda rode solo.
I look forward to picking some brains about accessories and rallies. As a tall 6'4 rider I'm going to first need to get a taller windshield. I'm thinking about the 8 1/2 inch Klock Werks dark smoke flare windshield. Any thoughts? Thanks!
