Looking to get back on the road after selling my last bike in 1995. Wanted a bike after getting out of the Marine Corps and moved back to Florida. Couldn't really afford what I wanted so I bought a closeout Vulcan. On the way home from the dealership I was at a stoplight and a couple of nice Harley's rolled up next to me which prompted a F-IT from me as I turned around and drove to the Harley dealer and traded into an XL-1200 (all I could barley afford payments on). Had a good time but bit off more than I could chew payment wise. Funny story though.
Starting over and going to pick yall's brains on the balance between reliability, convenience, and coolness. Not afraid of (and looking forward to) turning wrenches to keep dependable. Not wanting a bunch of electronics/high tech as I work on it daily and want gears not circuit boards. Don't want to have to trailer home a lot either.
Looking forward to soaking up your knowledge! Thanks in advance!
