As the title says, new member, not new to Harley. I previously owned an 08 Street Bob for about five years, ran a S&S Big Bore 106 in it, then recently traded it and the wife's sporty in on my '17 SGS. It's three months old, and only at stage II right now.
I'm active duty. Currently have 9 deployments under my belt. I don't discuss details in public forums or settings, so please don't ask and don't be offended.
I joined primarily to sell some Paul Yaffe 14" Monkey Bars. Long story short:
Ordered 14" bars in black. Never installed bars before, let alone on a SG. Decided I didn't want to pay almost $1500 in labor so I did it myself. Got to the point where I went to put my Paul Yaffe bars into the clamp......dealer ordered bars for a ROAD glide. FML. Dealer won't take them back because there are a few very small scratches that the clamp and fairing would cover so now I'm stuck with $440 bars in the garage. Needed my bike back together sooner than it would've taken to get the right bars, so I am currently running 12" Spooky bars that I can't stand. Bars are fine, just hate the height. I didn't want to have to put mirrors on top of my bars which is why I went with 14s to begin with...
Thanks, look forward to learning from you all.
