Hello all,
This is my first bike! I’m a bigger rider than most, 6’6. So I needed more room and came across a good deal at Shoreline Harley Davidson, in Long Branch NJ!
It was a nightmare at first! I was happy to have my first bike! Within 30 minutes of it being delivered to me, I was on my way to work and got ran off the road by a kid texting and driving. He never looked up and kept going! Bike ended up in shop for two months for repairs. Vin tab broke off of frame and Harley isn’t allowed to weld them back on. So luckily my insurance covered the whole thing. New frame and and several pieces from fairing upper and lower, fender, and other parts.
So now that I have it back, I’ve all ready put 1200 miles on her and have changed a few things. I first got rid of the silent factory pipes and did the Vance and Hines Big Radius 2 into 2. Then upgraded all front lighting with the custom dynamics led passing lights, headlight, and turn signals. Next will be the rear upgrade of lights and I want to put the fp3 on with a stage 1 air intake.
In winter, I’m trying to find a good mural artist to do some custom paint for me. Everyone around me is booked and not taking on new projects until spring. So if anyone wants to recommend someone in the Jersey area, please do so.
Pictures to come!
Thanks,
Ryan

Welcome and better luck to you than you experienced on your maiden voyage. I'm surprised your insurance company didn't total the bike with the amount of work involved with the frame issue and all the damage.
Situational awareness is a must if you want to ride. Glad you weren't injured and I hope you have many happy miles ahead.
