Been reading this forum for years and decided to sign up. I have to! The bike is in Munnsville and soon I'll just have to tell somebody about the results!!
Found the 2008 RoadKing CVO on kijiji in Nova Scotia as I was recovering from knee replacement in 2009. It had 8000 kms (5000 miles), lady driven, complete with every accessory.
Road for years all over North America, cursing the hot, noisy 110. Bought a TTS and found a 2009 exhaust header and added 2 inch cores from Fullsac and a Big Sucker. Helped a little.
9 years later HD offers the 117 kit. Local dealer offered a good deal, so I did it. Actually quite happy with change after a few v-tunes.
Decided to get a pro to dial it in on a dyno. Talked to way-too-many "experts" and ended up discussing options with Scott Palmer. That silver tongued devil convinced me that the 110 heads could be reworked to amaze and entertain me. So I rode it down from an hour north of Toronto and left it. That was 10 days ago and Scotts e-mails have got me really excited!!
He's sending the bike to Joe's in Mechanicville for MasterTune setup and I should (weather permitting) be riding back to the Great White North next week.
Sorry for the long intro.
I'll report back soon.
