I've been reading the forums for quite a while now but just joined because yesterday i read a thread where i could be of help. I ride a 2007 DWG that i bought last year after decades of not riding. In the '70s i bought a '53 pan head, hard tail in a basket and built it up as a chopper. Raked it so the bottom tubes were level with a 14" extended springer and 19" spoker. Peanut tank, sweep pipes, suicide clutch etc.
I love my Dyna. i woudn't trade it for the old 74. I enjoy the perks like electric start, electronic ignition, EFI, cushy seat and more power than i will ever need. I plan to finally retire this spring so i'm looking forward to a lot of hours of seat time ahead.
Thanks to all on the forum who have contributed advice, technical tips etc. You have been most helpful to me already!
