First time HD owner in south central Illinois. I have owned bikes for most of my life, Started with a Honda 50 at a young age.
have ridden Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, and even a BMW over the course of my life. my saddest day was when my Parkinson's got bad and I scared my self so bad that I decided that my riding days were over, and I sold my Cruiser. ( 4 years ago). I always missed Riding and feeling the wind in my face. Fast forward to retired life, and the wife decided i should try a trike. I started looking for a used Cam-am that i could pick up cheap for occasional riding, I somehow managed to fall into a deal and ended up with a 2013 HD Sportster 883 with only 800 miles, outfitted with a Frankenstein trike kit.
So now for the first time in my life not only do i have a HD but a trike as well. I look forward to learning a lot not only about the Sportster, but having a trike from this forum and its members.
