Hi. Figured I'd introduce myself. Came here to see what all I can learn. I'm currently riding a 2000 ultra classic with 20k miles. I'm on the fence about trading into my local dealer for a 08 road king. With 38k miles.

Nothing wrong with your 2000. Yes, you get some improvements with the 2008, motor, 6 speed, upgraded cam tensioners. One year before the major frame change. BTW The Road King is my favorite Harley
All good but many here ride bikes older than yours, just depends on what your motivation for the trade-in is? Perhaps you can share some of the cost details of the trade?
The motivation for the trade in is I was looking for a road King with hard bags and didn't find any. Got a pretty good deal on this ultra so I bought it. Took the tour pack off and switched out the windshield. Only thing holding me back is I just spent around $1500 in parts this week I have laying here to install on the ultra and they will not fit the road King.
I'm wanting to build a big wheel bagger myself and from what I'm reading a road King is a better platform to start out with.
