I see you're from Alaska. Ispent 6 1/2 years therewith K2 Aviation and Talkeetna Air Taxi flying tourists & climbers out of Talkeetna. Also flew out of Bethel for a while - which sucked. I bought an '84 FLH from a guy in Anchorage in '92 (I think). I ended up having to sell it a few years later though. Best bike I ever had!
So, are you having any of the noise problems I've been reading so much about with your '07? I assume the overheating thang hasn't been an issue up there!
I know, that's what makes it so scary. I've seen lots of comments from '07 dresser owners that say theirs are great. So far, though, it looks like there are still problems with some of even the last-production '07's - it's just a $20,000 crap shoot when a person buys one. It's a real shame, too.I really wanted the one I was getting ready to buy!
I read about one just lately that had a tranny case that was so porous that the oil was actually running out thru the metal. Read about one with that same issue with the crankcase too. It reminds me of the '70's when bikes were being delivered with no rings on the pistons etc. I actually knew a guy that got one of those. Just really poor-to-nonexistant QC. I'm hearing now thatpeople arehaving significant QC issues with the '07 CVO bikes too.
