Side plate mount

I was going to post a pic of my bike, pre-mods, but it seems things are conspiring against me and it won't let me insert a picture, link or attachment and if I try and create an album I get a horrible HTML rendered version of the page. Hey ho, I'm sure I'll sort it out eventually!
So here goes with the post I should have started with!
Based in Northamptonshire, England and of a certain age, I have been through a couple of Harleys, an 883R and most recently a v-rod custom. However I was hankering after something that I could do some minor fettling with myself (I can by no stretch be called a mechanic!), so I have just acquired a 2014 Softail Breakout
I have a list of things I need (want) to do to it and will no doubt be asking more advice than I give on the forum, but I'm looking forward to the journey.
Fitting the fender was quite ‘adventurous’ especially considering you need to take a grinder to the frame to make it fit. Getting back to the side plate mount the Cult Werks ones whilst again not cheap are extremely high quality. They come in different sizes, be advised that on the A R Harley site I noticed that some of their sizing is posted wrong where the widths are displayed as height and height as width. I did speak to them about this and am unsure if it was subsequently changed. If in doubt pick up the phone and give them a call.
