Hey Gang,
Burning a headlight fuse (15A). Headlight and marker lamps out, but have everything else, blinkers, tail, instruments. This is a recent problem. I did change the passing lamp bulbs 2 months ago without any issues. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Mike
I just had this problem on my 2001 Electra Glide. My headlight fuse blew. I replaced the fuse and it blew again after 5 blocks from home. I looked at all my wiring from the headlight back and found a chaffed wife going to my front fender marker light which was rubbing on the wind deflector under my triple clamps. I slipped on some new insulation and I think the problem is gone now. But check all your wiring front the headlight back and maybe you will find something. Good luck.

Welcome.
In the future consider adding year and model since we are unable to see your bike.
From a distance and no idea of what bike you have i will take a guess that a positive wire is touching ground/frame.
Either in headlight bucket, passing lamps or a fender tip light.
*When you say changed passing lamp bulbs what exactly do you mean? to standard, to LED any wires cut ?
