The "newguy" from AZ
Name is Lev, retired a few years back from 22 years of Border Protection... Now, as a hobby I run a small FFL business out of my Home Office for my friends and neighbors.
Joined the forum to get info on one of my fave bikes only that I have ridden Ducatis for the last 20 years. My first bike in college was a Suzuki Intruder 800... only thing I could afford at the time that somewhat resembled the bad *** HDs. Had s Victory Vegas 8 Ball just a few years ago... changed the pegs on it with a set from a Judge cause just like my issue now, I could not reach the pegs. I ride with a prosthetic foot on my right and not only that but my reach is ONLY 27". So, on Monday I stopped at the Apache Junction store and to my disappointment the one bike I really like has the same problem my Vegas had. CAN'T REACH THE PEGS!!!
The bike in question is the Blackline, not sure why am I drawn to this particular horse to be honest. There is the Street Bob with their more powerful 103 motor and midcontrols set up just perfectly but still, not what I really want. So to make this introduction short I will read through every posting that has the word Blackline in it with hopes that I can find that one crucial information that will transfer the Blackline into a Bob

Thanks y'all for your time,
Lev

If you do find a bike, I recommend a couple things. First get a 3-ring binder and record all your service, maintenance, repairs, and accessories add on. This will help down the road when you are wondering when I changed brakes, or install tires, etc. Second get the factory service manual and the factory parts manual....these are invaluable tools. They will provide a great deal of information you will need, especially if you service or work on your bike. And lastly, know how large your tank is. Know how much fuel it holds. Don't trust the fuel gage. Get a fuel mileage app (I use Simply Auto) and record each and every gallon of fuel you use. I use the odometer as my fuel gage, with the dash unit only as a general reference. I reset to zero on fill ups, jot the mileage on the receipt, and enter that info when I get home/have time, etc. Understand around town driving and trips will give you different MPG. I know I can travel 200 miles locally and around 230-250 on trips per tank.
Good Luck!!

If you can find one, try out a Switchback. I have a buddy with a very short inseam - I don't know his exact inseam measurement, but he is probably only 5'2, so his inseam can't be longer than yours. He loves it and it fits him very well.
