hi and welcome from so fla. i think you would be happy with the HD, and the one thing i havent seen anyone say is that if the bike has a full stage 2 kit, you might not feel such a loss of power. the stage 2 has good tourqe, depending on the upgrade. my bike came standard with a 103 ci, which is 1690 cc in metric world. i hang with the vtx's quite nicely. i enjoy the ride of the cruiser much better. anyway, good luck with you decision.
