Rather than slamming you for posting in the wrong forum ( which all of us have probably done ), I would ask if you have traced that wire from end to end and checked for any type of fray, excessive bend or rub marks?? I'm not electronically inclined but do you have and know how to use a multi meter? Good luck!!
