I hav a 2005 FXSTI. Lately I've been having problems. Sometimes the starter will chatter kicking in and out like the solenoid in a car does when the battery's low. I don't think it's the battery because it doesn't do it all the time.

Thanks. It turns out it is the battery. I had a buddy of mine that works on bikes put his tester on it which I should have done in the first place. This is my first Harley & it's been 30 yrs. since I've been on a motorcycle, so I really don't know much about the electrcal system
