Congrats on passing the MSF course. For being a small bike, Sportsters sit fairly tall unless you get the low model, but as someone else pointed out, the lowered suspension makes for a harsher ride. If its within your budget, dont be afraid to consider a bigger bike. Softails have a pretty low seat height and adding a narrower seat will probably let you get your feet flat on the ground.
