Communication
Hi my name is mark. I just recently purchased my first ever Harley Davison, it’s a 2017 Ultra limited. Is there an after market device that when I answer my phone thru the sound system on my bike that will let the caller hear my voice. I can hear them but there is no mic for them to hear me. Can I purchase something other then helmet set. I where A half helmet. I would just like to be able to answer the person right away. Please help

This is the Welcome Area Only so feel free to ask the question about your phone in a different forum area my friend. I will post below a layout for the technical area.
I know you did not ask but I will say it anyways LOL, personally, I do not answer my phone on the bike. First and foremost it takes away from safety in my opinion. There are enough "crazies" out there that do not know how to drive their cages. Literally yesterday is an excellent example were I had to perform an emergency maneuver not to get hit. But anyway, the information you can get here on your technical question will be plentiful as you will find out.
Oh, I also do not answer my phone because when I am on the bike, I want to enjoy the ride and not be busy with any incoming business call, solicitation, or anything else. Not even when I am traveling across the big open plains.
Now, for my regular welcome to you...
G'day mate,
I will be your tour guide.

**** ON THE SERIOUS SIDE ****
You are in the “New Members Area” where you can introduce yourself and let us know what Harley Davidson bike(s) (if any) you ride/own.
If you have questions about engines, exhaust systems, audio issues, etc… then:
1) Please go to the upper corner and Roll Over “Forums”
2) Then come down to and Roll Over “Harley Davidson Tech & Mechanical Forum”
3) Then come down to the section that would be most appropriate for your question like Audio Systems, Engine Mechanical Topics, Exhaust System Topics, etc… and CLICK on the topic you have a question about.
You will find the knowledge here is EXCELLENT and these here mates are willing to help you in any way they can. ‘juss be careful. There are some “Trolls”, so I suggest just ignoring them ‘ole farts.
See you around HDF. Come often, we have a humor thread, game thread, and a LOT of other stuff.
Have A Great Day Mate,

Welcome from Spartan Country, Michigan!
I tell a lot of new comers to the forum to get: Factory Service manual and the Parts manual. Get a three ring binder and record all your maintenance, repairs, accessories, etc. This will be a great reminder of what was done when. And great material to pass along to the new owner should you sell and upgrade. Also know how large your fuel tank is, and record your fuel usage. I have an app called Simply Auto that I record all my fuel used. I use the odometer and use the fuel gage as reference only. I reset the odometer to zero on fill ups, and I know I can safely get 200 miles on a tank on around town riding.
Good Luck!!
check the Cardo system of communicators. I have PackTalk Bold and it will blue tooth hook up to your phone so you can converse.... personally I do not answer phone while riding. I will only listen to music and respond to my riding partner.
