Welcome, from the Golden Horseshoe in Ontario. Stay warm brother, as I know you folks out there are getting more than your fair share of snow and cold. Best of luck with the build….👍

I know I've been offline here for a bit, But here's an update. The Buell I'm trying to sell and have the Sportster engine installed in a 2006 frame that I purchased for $250 US and have spent some time wrenching it into some sort of motorcycle between the bad winter, my catching covid, and the heatwave we've been experiencing. I'm to a point of wiring and installing the front forks after swapping the lower sliders. My issues will be with the brakes, I've picked up parts from different years and some bits need DOT4 and others need 5. Wiring will keep me busy for a couple days now so when my pension I can get some denatured alcohol to flush everything out to run just 1 kind of brake fluid. Then it will be building a set of forks and assemble the front end. The rear fender, tank, and seat will be done after the battery box (it'll be custom for a 2001 Honda Battery that cost me over $350 all in.

It's been a bit but here's the progress I've accomplished thus far; She's also gotten a name since I started.... Money pit!!!! I'm thinking on keeping the rear fender attached to the swing arm so I'll have a longer leaner look. The pipes are temporary until I decide on how I want them as I'm not one for LAF neighbour haters. Now I've just got to get the time to do some more work on it as being "retired" is just another word for wrenching on other people's **** ups!

Well I finally got back to this thread, I've been busy as all get out. Not much been happening with the bike aside from slowly building it up, but today I came to the conclusion that if I don't do something soon, I will be unable to ride as my age is creeping up there. I have a friend who is a few years younger than I am and his doc told him he'll never ride again so he offered me his old Sportster for a super cheap $2200 Canadian ($.51 US) and I think I'll take him up on it I'll be selling Mongrel hopefully this weekend and buy his Monday and ride it home!
