I bought a 2004 Dyna Defender a couple of weeks ago and have been enjoying the ride!
Sold my sport-touring bike because after a couple of hours in the saddle my knees felt like they were on fire. I couldn't tour with it, but I loved the ride performance.
Decided to try a Harley because they are comfortable, well-built, andeasily modified.Oh, and you just can't beat HD appearance and sound. I must admit that the acceleration and maneuvering performance of the Dyna is less than that of my prior bike, but surprisingly, with the dual front disk brakes, it stops just as well.
Overall, I think I'm enjoying being on the bike more than I did my prior one. It's MUCH more comfortable, and I don't miss the acceleration as much as I thought.
