Hey - you're doing the exact same thing I did! I used to ride the Honda Shadow 750 when young - it was all i could afford.
now, at age 62, I tried a number of Harleys and the Softtail Heritage Classic was perfect - weight, fit, features. Touring models too heavy, featured, Street models too small.
Try one. I love mine.
