Welcome from Spartan Country, Michigan!
I tell a lot of new comers to the forum to get: Factory Service manual and the Parts manual. Get a three ring binder and record all your maintenance, repairs, accessories, etc. This will be a great reminder of what was done when. And great material to pass along to the new owner should you sell and upgrade. Also know how large your fuel tank is, a rough idea of your range per tank, and record your fuel usage. I have an app called Simply Auto that I record all my fuel used. I use the odometer and use the fuel gage as reference only. I reset the odometer to zero on fill ups, and I know I can safely get 200 miles on a tank on around town riding, and upwards of 230+ on trips.
Good Luck!!

Welcome from North Beach, FL., USA!

Just in case you have not done both of these two important items!

Be sure to add an Avatar of your favorite shot in the USER set up for the small picture others will see in the top left corner of your post with your USER name.

And most importantly a Signature Line in your USER set up for your bike model, year, and all the letters that Harley recognizes it with that others see at the bottom.

This enables others to know your exact model if you ever ask a question or another member interested in it may ask you a question about it.

Your all set.... Enjoy the ride! ______________

I'm Marcel, 45, originally from Holland, came to the States 5yrs ago now residing in Lakehills TX since 2020.

I've been driving crotch rockets on the street and track for almost 25yrs before I moved to the US and since we've (my wife and I) finally found our place here in the Texas hill country, I want to get back on 2 wheels.
Since I'm "old and fat" now I'm leaving the racers, kneedowns and full leathers in my past and looking forward to buying my 1st Harley.

Gotta get my license again, appointment is for beginning of March and will get a bike immediately after..
Looking at candidates, I loved the Sportsglide when I was scrolling through the web but did not like it very much IRL so I'm now looking into Fatboy's, our local dealership has a nice '19 sitting there with low miles, Screaming eagle kit and V&H exhaust which caught my eye. Hopefully I can pull the trigger soon and show some pics of my 1st bike ride in our beautiful Texas Hill Country.

See you on the webs or on the road, keep the rubber side down..!
Welcome.....Native to Austin / Plano....know the hill country very well. Devils Backbone...great riding. I've owned a ton of HD's and currently my go to is a Softail Crossbones Springer...I dig the look and they are rare bikes. Overall....I think any Softail does it for me. Personally, I'm also a big Ducati and BMW fan. I live in Colorado now and if my riding takes me through canyons and curves, I'm on a Ducati Multistrada.....the new V4S is the ride of choice.... incredible machine (adaptive cruise control, integrated radar, blind spot warning system)...simply the most advanced technological machine on the market. And if you want to go ride "fire roads" in the hill country, switch riding modes and you have an adventure bike. I'm not knocking HD's but if technology is your thing (it is mine)...the DUC is a great bike for that area of the country.

LOL, it's not.. But I'm pretty sure I wouldn't want to see myself in full leathers anymore.. Will probably look something like this..

Tried a couple Duc's on the track but wasn't a fan of the twins, preferred the 4-cylinders.. My go-to was the Honda CBR900 and 1000RR Fireblade. Also built "naked" racers or "street fighters" for on the street.

Not really into the tech stuff of the new models but can appreciate how far they've gone..
