Hey,
Just joined this forum. I currently am riding a 2007 Street Bob. I love this bike. It feels like it was made for me.
I am currently involved in making this "My Bike", although I haven't done any performance upgrades yet. That is one of the reasons I have joined this forum is to learn a bit about what can be done to give this "96" a bit more muscle and speed than it already has.
The guys at the Harley dealer are pretty willing to share suggestions, but I sometimes wonder if they are just going with what they have been told to push, or if they are talking from thier own experience.
Don't get me wrong, I think the salesmen, parts people, accessories ladies and everyone else at the local shop have been great. I just want to expand my knowledge resources, without relying on just one source.
I think this Street Bob with the "96" engine is already pretty awesome. But that isn't good enough. I know ther is a wealth of knowledge out there that could stagger the imagination. I want to be staggered. I want the most "Bad ***" Bobber I can build with the funds that I generally have available. I'm not looking for the quick fix, I just want to developea plan that I can work on to get the machine that I really want.
I am opemn to all suggestions.
Thanks,
Nevadasmith
