There are few things that tug on my heart strings so deeply and THAT place did.
Don't know why. Very interesting. WISH WISH WISH I knew that was going to happen. Would to have LOVED to sit with them and figure out how not to close up shop.
I doubt they were too old. Maybe they were already retired and was doing it for fun. Anyway. There are so many things outside of our control my friend. I guess it was not mean to be.
Actually, I was planning on bringing my wife there. Heck, we went to Lake Placid so I could show here the Lake Placid Pub that I REALLY LIKE and we stayed at White Face. THAT was AWESOME!!!!!! Right when the leaves were changing my friend. We lucked out.
Sry to bend your ear mate. Go play.......................ENJOY the forums!

Like sharing adventures. My wife and I took the Ultra in 2013 and spent weekend at Whiteface. Met a Vietnam Vet Marine name Al who owns Mountain Brook Lodge about a mile from Whiteface. I am an Army SF vet and we hit it off. Every night he builds a huge fire and invites all the guests for drinks and to share where there from and what brought them there. His wife and him are truly special souls. On the way back to Syracuse we took the long way going through Placid, Saranac, Tupper, and Blue Mountain lakes. It's beautiful country. There were times with our Road Glide we would get on the road at 6 am and ride most of the Adirondack Park logging around 500 miles for the day. Good times
Add a Signature Line in your USER set up for your bike year, model, and all the letters that Harley recognizes it with so others see at the bottom of all your post. This enables others to know your exact model if you ever ask a question.
And a Avatar of your favorite shot in the USER set up for the small picture others will see in the top left corner of your post.
b Your all set.... Enjoy the ride! ______________
Thanks for the info. The Road King I ordered won't be in until 1st week in April. A good friend of mine is GM of a Harley Dealership. Here is where the wrench in the program comes. I ordered a base model Road King. He reached out to me today and said he has a Vivid Black Road King Special for just a little more money. Decisions Decisions. I have to let him know tomorrow.
Welcome from Spartan Country, Michigan! I tell a lot of new comers to the forum to get: Factory Service manual and the Parts manual. Get a three ring binder and record all your maintenance, repairs, accessories, etc. This will be a great reminder of what was done when. And great material to pass along to the new owner should you sell and upgrade. Also know how large your fuel tank is, a rough idea of your range per tank, and record your fuel usage. I have an app called Simply Auto that I record all my fuel used. I use the odometer and use the fuel gage as reference only. I reset the odometer to zero on fill ups, and I know I can safely get 200 miles on a tank on around town riding, and upwards of 230+ on trips. Good Luck!!
All outstanding ideas that I'm going to incorporate. Thanks
And there are LOTs and LOTs more so ROLLOVER Forums in the upper left and joinin & have FUN!

Adirondacks in Fall is absolutely gorgeous. Funny little story, one of my wife's hobbies is photography. She has pro level gear. We were headed toward Blue Mountain Lake on the Ultra. I was doing about 70. We got home and she showed me some of the shots she took. I submitted this incredible shot of Blue Mountain to Motorcycle Bagger magazine, (this was in August) The editor emailed me we would be in January 2013 issue. I figured he was blowing me off. 5 months later a buddy of mine calls and says Bro, they put you in the magazine. That was super cool. I bought like 10 copies.
