Hi everyone, Newbie here. I bought my dream bike on December 8th, 2022 unfortunately here in Ontario I can't ride it in the winter, so it's stored at the dealership until the spring. I bought a new 2022 Street Glide Special in Gunship Grey, with the chromed package/option. There were only a few left in Ontario, so I texted them to put a sold sign on it sight unseen then drove there with a bank draft. I got a nice discount as it's essentially a 'new one year old Hog'. This was a harder combo to get, as most like the "blacked out option" with that Gunship Grey color. I like chrome so I'm the odd ball. My wife doesn't have any interest on being 2 up, so I've got a custom 'Saddlemen solo low rider seat' being made for me now in California (they email me updates as it rolls through the build process, kinda cool) with a matching backrest. Ya, backrests kinda ruin the "slick look" when parked I guess. I can easily remove it and throw in the bags to keep the look and stop a thief. At 57, comfort beats the cool factor for me. SGS's don't come with heel shifters any more wtf? so I had one put on along with Kahuna heated grips, I have Vance and Hines 4" Eliminator Slip ons in the basement to put on in the spring. They aren't the loudest neighbor haters.... but give a nice rumble. I've been looking at Custom Dynamics lighting and want to do the front turn signals in bright white, to switch to yellow flashing turn signals up actuation, on rear signals I want the yellow LED as well, new rear LED Brake Light and bottom fender Tri Bar run/brake light in LED. The factory halogens just don't do it for me. I've seen the Magic Strobe from that company as well to give a double flash upon brake actuation, to be seen better. Anyways, looking forward to meeting you all online, learning more and having a friendly forum to expand my new hobby while not riding. I haven't even started the bike to be honest, did all this so far and more plans, it's truly a sickness LL

Welcome to the forum. I went through the same thing. I bought my 22 Road King in January. But here in Manitoba, I had to wait until late April before I could get on it and ride. Three -very- long months. But unlike you, they delivered mine so I got to at least see it every day sitting in my garage under a cover
Welcome from NW Indiana, and welcome to the forum. It looks like you are going to have a long winter waiting to ride your new bike. Do they let you go there and give it a hug once in a while? Enjoy the spring!!
Welcome from Spartan Country, Michigan! I tell a lot of new comers to the forum to get: Factory Service manual and the Parts manual. Get a three ring binder and record all your maintenance, repairs, accessories, etc. This will be a great reminder of what was done when. And great material to pass along to the new owner should you sell and upgrade. Also know how large your fuel tank is, a rough idea of your range per tank, and record your fuel usage. I have an app called Simply Auto that I record all my fuel used. I use the odometer and use the fuel gage as reference only. I reset the odometer to zero on fill ups, and I know I can safely get 200 miles on a tank on around town riding, and upwards of 230+ on trips. Good Luck!!
