Hey! Hope everyone's getting in some riding time between rains. It's been wet all summer here in SW Ohio so it has been a little frustrating. Let's see... I'm an old AF vet, machine electrician, retired, and bought this Sporty the end of April. It rode like an oxcart with slammed shocks, sounded like the end of the world with some sort of straight pipes that looked like mufflers but weren't, had loose bolts, a stale gas fouled injection system and enough loose bolts to make the 60 mile ride home interesting. The headlight wasn't even aimed at the road but hey, it was locked that way by the only bolt that was tight.
It's a 2014 orange 72. The only one for sale in Ohio when I dropped the cash for it. I lost my head.
Now it has Progressive 412 shocks, a DK customs 606 A/F, stock cover, ext breather, Rush slip ons with DK TTIs (lollipops) and Arlen Ness signal brackets to mount them on the lower tree.
I changed the oil, slacked off the drive belt, aligned the rear wheel, corrected the tire pressures, checked the primary chain and it seems to have cleaned up the fuel sys goo after going through a can of Seafoam over 400 miles of riding.
It's faster than I thought it would be so I put the humped seat to ride without sliding back onto the fender.
