Hello everyone,
I've been meaning to join the forum for a long time and finally, today, I did. Really stoked about being here and looking forward to many conversations to come.
Right now I'm riding an '11 Road glide custom. It's pretty much bone yard stock. I've also got an'06 Softail Deluxe I bought new back in 06. unfortunately there's more of that old girl sittin on a couple shelves in my garage but I'm hoping to get her back up and road worthy very soon.
All my friends call me Harlo, which is short for my first name (Harley).
Look forward to meeting many new interesting folks.

Welcome to the HDFORUM.

I hope you continue to enjoy your ride here.

Only as a suggestion, by me as a USER, create a signature line similar to my one line on my bike information.

The year, model, and all the letters Harley assigned to the bike. It will appear at the bottom of your post.

Doing this will be helpful if you ask a question. All Harleys aren't the same with many changes and variations over the years.

Of course, you can add it to any thread with a question.

You can also add any other details you choose and a favorite picture to the signature lines.

If you like, you can also add another favorite picture for an Avatar you see at the top left of all your posts as a postage stamp.

I appreciate the advice. Makes great sense. I'm not particularly computer savvy but I think I can figure that out. If not , I may call on ya to guide me thru it.

my back ground is mechanical. I've worked on or better said maintained quite a wide range of engines, been a machinist now goin on 35 yr, I[ve had my hands on something s simple as a briggs n Stratton all the way up to turbo fan engine, f404ge400 mainly.
I've been riding motorcycles my whole life seems like, lol. I had to buy all my own bikes being my father was dead set against em. I was the kid in the neighborhood that road everybody else's worn out stuff. that's all a paper route would afford me. after getting my drivers license, within 2 weeks I possessed a motorcycle endosement. my first street bike was a 1982 Kawasaki LTD 550. first bike I ever bought new. then a Honda v 45 magna. how many remember those? maybe another jan bike or 2 then into Harleys. MY first Harley was a 74 super glide. had reverse shifting from THE FACTORY. loved that shovel, then another shovel, and another shovel, sporty, shovel.....
Have quite extensive knowledge of shovels, pans knocks, skipped the eve years and went to twin cams. Thats where I'm at today. 11 RG custom and an 06 DELUXE.
Apologize for the boring bio, but I figured I'd give an outline so anyone who might read it kinda knows I'm not a green horn just breaking into the lifestyle, but will still seek knowledge of others on a regular basis.

thank you for the advice and please keep it coming!
