currently own a 77 ironhead which i used to own in the early 90's , sold it to a friend and then bought it back off him a few years ago
i also have a fxdx which i owned in the 00's, always regretted selling it and then one day about a year ago saw it advertised and had to have it back
i have a modern triumph tourer which takes me n the missis to scotland every year
and last but not least a 59 bsa c15 which has become a stalled project just now .... i blame the bloody ironhead , it's a demanding bugger !
Welcome from an ex-pat in Virginia. What a beautiful part of the country you're in (or at least it used to be when I used to holiday up around Arkengarthdale area.) Hopefully it's still unspoilt? C15 !! That brings back memories!
I'm not very far from Haworth myself, I'm in the HX2 postal area of Halifax.
In the early 1980's I bought a 1959 BSA C15 from a guy in the Denholme area, it cost me Ł250. I kept the Ceefer for a couple of years as my winter ride when my 1981 Triumph T140E was off the to road protect it from damage caused by road salt. I sold the C15 in 1984 for Ł60 to a beautiful lass from Brighouse, it was her first motorcycle. She moved to Nottingham shortly afterwards and the C15 was stolen there, possibly for the tinware as everything on it was stock fitment.
