Hey, what's up? New guy on the block. I'm in the country by the river, near Arlington, a place I call Paradise By The River. I've been riding since just after I learned to walk, have owned and ridden many bikes of all flavors over the years. Back in the 70s a buddy and I were on a ride and after we stopped for a break he offered to let me ride his Sportster. I fell in love and swore someday I would have one.
So recently I started looking for Sportsters for sale locally and found a 91 XLH 883, second owner, 10,000 miles. It is in awesome shape, always garaged, well cared for, looks new save for some aging, after all it is 34 years old. Still has original tires and drive belt, so I have new ones coming. I also ordered up a kit for the carb, as the gaskets are dried up and as soon as I started riding it the carb began to leak fuel. Can't have that.
I've ridden it about 30 miles, a couple miles on the test ride the day I bought it, the rest the next day when I picked it up and rode it home. I haven't ridden in 30 years, so it took a bit to get used to it, still it came back. Just like riding a bike, eh?
