Hello everyone in the forum,
My name is Mike, I was born in 1956, and I have been riding motorcycles since 1974.
I bought my first HD in 1977, a brand new 1977 FXE Super Glide, followed by a 1979 FLH-80 "Classic" in the "Tan & Cream" color scheme.
I also owned a 1954 FL for many years, which I unfortunately sold.
I am interested in the Harleys built before 1984, the last Shovelhead models.
The same applies to the older models; I also owned some old Indian models, such as a 741B.
I am a trained bookseller and librarian, and as a mechanic I am a simple self-taught man with good knowledge.
For decades, I've had a great passion: collecting old books and magazines / posters about motorcycles; I'd like to tell you more about that later...
I look forward to an interesting exchange here in the forum, and thank you for the friendly welcome.

My American sweetheart, who now lives in Florida, was born in Macon, Georgia.
The American father came from Arkansas and spent his final years in Phoenix, Arizona.
So I have some American blood in me, even without ever having seen the country.
This is not unusual for a German citizen who was born in the 1950s, and that's a good thing!
Your forum is very complex; it will take a long time to get acquainted with everything here...
But it will work, my gut feeling tells me that...
