I'm just getting back into biking and just ordered a 08 FLTR in PP. Slated del is 11/07. Since my x-wife sold my Ducati while I was out of the country and started divorce proceedings when returned on 9/11/01...I've been gun shy for the last few years. Looked at BMW's, more Ducati's and finally just gave up because it never felt right.
Recently the state rally was at a venue close to my house and the noise demanded that I make an inspection of all the shenanigans. Couldn't belive what I had been missing out on all these years. Well that was in March. Since then, I've rented a Street Glide for a day and demo'd an 08 SG & RG back to back. Took me less than a mile to know that I wanted the RG!
The SG I rented in May was the first HD I ever rode and being somewhat vertically challenged, I had reservations about handling a 800' scooter. After a few rides now, I am really liking the way the Harley handles. Still, I'm planning a stabalizer and a few other enhancements that are all covered here on the forum to make it just like the Ducati I lost! lol :^)
