Try the tech section.

Sounds to me like you might be getting a plug getting soaked with gas.

Run the bike, let it sit for fivemin then take plug out. If it is wet it is flooded.

Alot of time carborators when they get hot, flood the cylenders with gas and flood the engine when it sits there not running.Its called a hot soak.

Cant help you with a harley carb, never worked on one. I am just talking motors in general.

This might give you a place to start.

Thanks for the infor plugs never get wet i have ck them a few times and their dry but it may be something wrong with the carb.

My ironhead sporty had a similar problem. I wound up going with an S&S Super E carb with dual cables and it never happened again Good luck and welcome from Boston..

Thanks for the imfor the motor was rebult 2years ago has 900 miles on it. sat in a garage for a year and a half off the road until I bought it.this year.
