A freind of mine is about your same age and size and he rides a Heratige and loves it. If you can't test ride bikes in your area a suggestion might be to go to a local bike fest or bike nite and talk to other bikers. Like here on the forum most will give you their honest opinion on their bikes. Might help you decide.......................Zig

Like others, I think the Heritage Softail gives you a lot of bang for the buck. I went with the Softail Springer Classic, mostly because I like the 'retro' look and feel. Plus, the springer ride is second to none.
