Hey dudes, I'm about a month away from my first HD purchase. Right now I've got a Honda Magna, but I'm ready for somethin else. Night Train is what I'm lookin at, but we'll see. My great granddad owned an HD store in the 1930's that I've got some cool pics from, & my grandpa hillclimbed & raced em in the 50's, then my dad was a cop on one in the 70's. So I get all kinds a crap cause I've got a honda right now. glad I bought a cheaper bike first before I go out and drop 20 grand though. Anyways I live up in WA and work here as a firefighter, so I'll have lots of time to ride with my days off!
Since you're a firefighter, have you considered the Firefighter edition? Nothing wrong with the Night Train, just thought I'd throw it out there. Sounds like you have a family history with HD, so its probably inevitable that you end up riding one.
hello Pat and welcome....considering you live in WA let me give you some friendly advice...(but you probebly already know)....before you buy your first Harley....make sure it is not the CA emissions restricted type....because you are so close to the state of CA i'm sure there are plenty of these type bikes....make sure its a 49 state emission bike.....have fun
wow thanx for the replys and advice fellas. I'm at work today but I'll get some of those pictures scanned and uploaded in the next day or two so you guys can check em out!
I do like the FF edition bike, and it's got a great price break, but I love the way the night train looks. So I'm torn, we'll see soon though! I'll definatley let everyone know when I get one, and I'll sure post some pics too.....
Imboden,
Welcome to the forum!! The Night Train is sure a sharp looking bike, I am sure whatever you decide on will be well worth the purchase. There ain't nothing wrong with the Honda either, I just sold mine last October, loved that bike!! But..................... there is no comparison to the Harley Can't wait to see your pictures.
