Default First Bike Ever.

Hey everybody, I just joined this site. I just bought my first bike ever. It's a 1975 "Ironhead" H.D. Sportster. I paid $1200 dollars for the bike, and it needs alot of work.It came with the frame and most the parts. I'm hoping when may comes around it will be done.My brother and I are gonna finish tearingthe motor the rest of the way down, powdercoat the frame, paint the frame, fenders, and tank, and haveit all cleaned up for the spring. After we get it all back together i believe it's going to be a sharp looking bike. I'm excited to have gotten my first bike, and wouldn'tyou have known it, It's a Harley.I've never ridden a motorcycle before, and i'm looking forward to being out on the road when it warms up. Any info on the history of an ironhead would be great. FTW. Mac.

Welcome from Birmingham, AL. Congrats on the bike and as others have mentioned take a riders course - its a great way to become familiar with bikes and what they can and can't do. Enjoy!
