it can be very intimidating for a few months, but with every ride you take the better you will feel/more confident you'll get. whe i bought my wife her bike last year i had to go to work about 3 days later on the tugboat and told her she had to figure out how to ride it..lol when i got home 4 weeks later she had 800 miles on it....well we then went on a 3,000 mile trip she did great and you will also....after 5,000 mile she is still nervous, but she does good.. just take you time, little short rides then venture out a little further each time.
