Hello, I live in sunny central Florida.
I purchased a new denim black '06 street bob, haven't seen too many of these except for a couple of pics on here. I've had it for about two weeks and just hit 700 miles, I am pleasantly surprised how comfortable the solo seat is. In my opinion, the only way to go on this bike is all skulls. I've done most of it already and currently have V&H big shots on the way and some forward controls.
Nobody makes a licence plate relocate for this bike (that I've found) so I've made one and purchased a plate frame with a light. It really cleaned off the rear fender nicely and actually gave it a little lower appearance by eliminating the tall plate.
EFI is awesome, only complaint on the bike from me is the shocks, I can bottom the bike out over mild RR tracks because there's very limited travel. I've read that this is the only problem with this bike except for the mid controls, they're very awkward for me on foot placement because I'm about 6'2" & 210.
However, by owning several Imports (rice rockets), All my buddies are still riding them. I tell them I'm now ready to ride with some style and class, If I want to go fast I strap myself in my drag car. This thing is supposed to be a stress RELIEVER, not producer!
So hello from central Florida.....
I love the denim streetbob. Rally cool paint. Get some forward controls and you'll be set. Can't help you with the shock problem unless you want to look into some Progressive shocks. I know the bike is pretty low in the rear.
Glad to have you here on the forum. This is a great place with lots of friendly and knowledgeable members. Stick around and have some fun with us.
