I'm new to the forum but no stranger to bikes. When I lived in New England, I was on the road daily during the (too short) riding season... either on my Bicentennial-edition Sportster or (gasp!) Yamaha 1100. Well, my twin daughters were born in 1983 and I sold both bikes shortly thereafter. We're empty nesters now, so I figure it's time to get back in the saddle again!
I've been amusing myself for the past few years with a hi-po Corvette (balanced & blueprinted 402cid stroker motor, coilovers, etc.). Within the next 60 days I plan on getting an '07 or '08 Low Rider or Night Train.
A lot has changed during the years I've been away (Harley was still AMF back then), so I'll be looking to learn from the locals and folks I meet here.
Man you are going to love those So Cal rides. Angeles Crest, out to Julian, out to Borogo Springs, Big Bear, oh yeah, and up the coast. ManI just mightmove back.
