hay, looked all over for a foum that had anything to do with a shovel head, looks like i have found a home.
last year i ploped 18000.00 down on a new road glide.spent the spring and summer on the road ,it was a very nice ride, but something was missing. traded it on a pickup and plow for winter and started looking for the right bike.remembering working for a local harley dealer when i was in highschool , to me the new ones dont seem the same (why buy new to make it look old).no ofence, ride your pride. 3 weeks ago a came across a add for a 1980 flt with 3500 miles on all mechanics and 37000 on the whole bike.the gentalman gave it to me for a little over 5000.00 and trailered it 200 miles at no charge. i sat on it and took off ,its like it came from HD just for my butt. i know there will be alot of wrenching ,(ask my 86 blazer, and my 66 coronet) maybe that what was missing from the 2007 .
