Hey all.
I've been making leather gear for a long time, but I just finished my first set of motorcyle saddlebags, that weren't the cowboy type.
I'm not selling bike gear quite yet, these bags were my first of these kind, and not ready for primetime yet...some design issues still to be resolved, plus I'm not sure how the forum rules apply to this. If I'm doing something wrong by posting, please let me know.
I was just proud of how they turned out, and wanted to share the pix with some of you to get some reaction. Hopefully I can learn from you.
I made these for a Lady's '03 Dyna Lowrider. I made them with 11oz skirting leather(very heavy), with a neoprene backing. The saddlebags are 14" wide, 6"gusset, and 18" sides. I will install them with Easy Brackets, and a taillight extension kit. The tailbag is 14"x8", and the toolbag is 11", saddlesoaped and sno-proofed (She wanted them natural color).
Thanx for looking everyone. Please let me know what you think.
I think they are outstanding and I don't think there is any problem with you sharing your talent with the group. I'm looking to get a leather roll bag for my luggage rack that is not to big with the chrome studs in black, let me know what you think.
Wow, that was quick!. Thanx guys, I appreciate the comps.
Like I said, I don't want to sell anything, cause of my not being sure about forum rules, but feel free to email me, I'ld be glad to answer any questions. If I start getting requests, I'll have to move over to the classifieds, I guess.
Mostly I just wanted to share the pix, and that sounds like it's alright to do...whew.
