Help on Making a Purchase
I am going to purchase an 09 here in the next month. \\; I have had Wg's, Heritage Softails, and never purchased new. \\; I am thinking about buying a FXDC Superglide Custom. \\; What can i do as far as working with the dealer on price? \\; I am going to purchase in chicago or northwest indiana. \\; Can I negotiate price or tax? \\; I am also looking to put some accesories on the bike as far as exhaust and little extras. Advise?

Not much room on an 09 until the first of the year. Most good dealers are at MSRP but have added attractions like long term parts discounts or a free jacket etc. When you want to have the first one you have to pay list. Good luck and welcome from Mass.

I don't know about bike prices, but Chicago Harley discounts their parts pretty good! You might be able to work a deal on "extras". Good luck, and welcome from South Texas!

All depends on supply/demand in your area. Doubt if they're dealing at all on the 2009's. You should concentrate your efforts on getting a parts/clothing/accessories discount (I got 20%) and maybe first service or two for free.
