I'm a newbie to this forum from norcal. I recently purchased a new o8' flstc. I'm luvin it! Back in the saddle again after four wheelin it for about 20 years. I justified the purchase to my wife with the cost of gas excuse. It worked! My last mc was an 80' low rider and i can't beleive the difference in the new bikes. At that time Harley was still owned by AMF and the quality was hit and miss. The only thing I don't like about the new Heritage is the sound of the engine, sounds foreign to me and the heat off the heads. I plan on changing the intake and putting on Bub Seven slip ons in hope of making sound like a hog should. Any help in eliminating heat will be a bonus.
In advance, I'd like to thank all members for the information gleened from this site.
Welcome from Northern California. Proper mapping along with the intake and pipes should take care of your problem. I like the new bikes, but I sure love being able to adjust a carb.
