Cool Newbie Question

New guy from Illinois ,2006 Sportster 883.
Question? How does one remove the hand grips on a Sportster?
Might sound dumb but I can't figure it out.
Thanks

Cut them off with a knife, you can't keep them for reuse.

Welcome from Nevada!! You cut the left one off. The right one you carefully remove being careful not to lose the brass ferrels. A good service manual will be of great help to you.

Hello and welcome to the forums. Never replaced them on a Harley, but on a metric I just sliced them off.

Thanks for the info on removing hand grips. The forum will be my guide. I do have a
Clymer's maintenance repair and troulbleshooting guide but does not tell how to remove hand grips.
Cheers

how ya doin?....instead of cutting it you could try heating it up (the glue)...then when you're done making a big mess, cut the damn thing
