OK, been riding a couple years, own a metric right now. Just sold an ATV, after the metric is sold I figure I'm half way to a new to me used bike. Basically only looking at Road Kings. Studied the heck out of the used market to be able to tell what should be a good deal. So here is a question. I see lots of threads on dealing off MSRP on new bikes. What can you expect a dealer to drop on the listed price of their pre-owned bikes? The one I've found is a 2004 RK Classic, extras are a backrest and rack only. Listed at $13,750 and they have already told me they aren't coming down much. So what's that? $250 probably. Still, with tax I could be saving $6k or more over new and this bike is show-room, with only 2,900 miles. The ultimate garage queen. I mean really it is brand new. I was going to offer $1,250 off, and they have a $500+ jacket in their reduced rack for $300, throw in the jacket free too. Then bargain from there. I could go $13k and the jacket and feel good. May finance through HD $8k too as incentive for them. Thing is too, with the economy, and snow flying up here in WNY for the next 4 months, they can't have much cash-flow either
