Ive owned several sportbikes in the past (honda F3600, Honda CBR 600rr, Honda CBR1000rr, Kawasaki ZX6r, Kawasaki ZX10r.) I love sportbikes Ive always been the sportbike rider that road responsibly (for the most part) Anyways Ive been thinking seriously of gettin a HD.. Anyone else make this kind of switch? Do you miss the gobbs of horse power? any info would be sweeet... Thanks Mike
I have owned seveal liter bike over the years, the last one being a 1000RR. I really don't miss it much, for one I am getting older. The cool beat of that V-twin will soon get you over the horsepower withdrawls. although I would like to have a track only bike to get out and do some track days. HMMM maybe a buell....
I made the switch too.. and to be honest.. I don't miss it much.. I get as much... if not more out of the RK as I have with any bike I've ever had.. but with that said, I wouldn't mind a sport touring bike.. not to replace the RK.. but for times when I'm in the mood for something different.. but, before the sport touring bike happens.. there is an ultra in my future.. after that we'll see
No offence meant but you sound like a younger rider,I've been there and done that fast bike thing and yes sometimes I do miss it.I will tell you this though, you will develope a more personal relationship with the Harley that suits you best and will not be constantly reminded by magazines and your friends that your bike is already obsolete.Old Harleys are just as cool as brand new Harleys. After awhile you will either love your Harley or modify it to suit yourself or move on to another brand.Good luck.
