Hi folks! I just finished registering and thought I would introduce myself. My name is Jerry, and I usually go by Metalhead but it seems that name is already in use here, hence the "Metalhead_Hardrocker" moniker to identify me by.
I am 45 years old and have owned a motorcycle for all but 2 years of my life since I was 13 when one of my brothers bought me a '65 H-D 250 Sprint for Christmas.
Two of my brothers had Panheads (a '53, '57' and a '48) while I was growing up. The '53 and '57 were chopped and the '48 was only slightly modified but still looked almost stock. These bikes had a big influence on my life back then and instilled my love for the brand to this day.
About a year and a half ago, I traded in my '99 Sportster 1200 for my current ride, a virgin 2007 Deuce. I decided (with a bit of input from my fiance) to dress it up a little before I ever took delivery of it from the dealership.
The first thing I had done to it was to put a 110 kit on it with a set of straight drags. I changed the seat to a slightly more comfortable RallyRunner and added saddlebags, different footpegs, mirrors, luggage rack, grips and high-flow air cleaner as well as a security alarm and "little black box". It cranks out around 100 hp and has 105 ft-lbs of torque. I know I could get some more horses if I switched to a 2-in-1 header exhaust but I'm one of those that believe Loud Pipes Save Lives and I like that old school slash-cut look.
I look forward to meeting new people on this site who have the same interests as me. Until then....Ride On ! Yours truly, Metalhead_Hardrocker
I am an honest to god metalhead! Everything from Sabbath and Zeppelin to Metallica, Megadeth, Motorhead, Testament, Pantera and even some of this new stuff. If it rocks it's *** off, I like it! I play a Gibson Les Paul and a couple of Jackson Rhoads guitars through a Peavey 120 watt full stack. Mainly, I'm a rythym guitarist like Hetfield, but my leads are steadily improving.
