Welcome from central Washington. You have come to the right place for all things H-D. No better forum around. Tons of info, great folks and a perfect place to hang your helmet...when you're not wearing it. Glad to have you here. Geezer
Welcome to a great opportunity to expand your lifestyle and expression of freedom. PLEASE, Please take Centerline's advise and get into a MSF safety course right away, even if it means you make a deal and the dealer holds the bike for you until you take the class. I've ridden on/off for years and I took the class after I got my bike. I was shocked at how unprepared I really was. I had a lot of confidence in my ability, but when slaloming I got a bit too fast and grabbed the front brake in a sharp turn. I went down like I was on marbles. I was more than shocked, but learned a valuable lesson about braking in a turn.
You'll have people pulling the most boneheaded moves on you when you are on the road as well, and you'll need to be prepared. Take the riders edge class and use their bike to learn on so you don't drop yours.
